Western Bahr El Ghazal State Finance Ministry collected four million South Sudanese Pounds as local revenues from businesses in three months.
Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan on Friday, while addressing officials at the Finance Ministry, appreciated the staff for the move that would help develop state, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He said it was the first amount collected from traders in a short period, advising the staff to set right work plan that would help channel the revenue to service delivery.
Finance Minister Lillian Valentino Rizig revealed a plan to set up more checkpoints to collect more money in the state.
She cited investment forum with foreign countries, creation of county budgets and transferring two officials from each department to counties as great achievements of the Ministry.
