WBG Deputy Governor opens Payam Court in Jur River

Western Bahr El Ghazal State Deputy Governor opened a Payam courts in Jur River County, declaring opening more courts in other Payams.
 
Zachariah Joseph Garang while addressing people at Umbilli Payam on Saturday said State Governor ordered founding of courts in all Payams to reduce congestion of cases in the state courts, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
He advised chiefs and Payam administrators to behave and implement provisions of Local Government Act responsibly in their communities.
 
Mr Joseph disclosed a plan to train Payam chiefs on rule of law to enable them resolve cases in their communities amicably.
 
He advised Umbilli Payam citizens to cooperate with their local authorities for the development of the county and state in particular and South Sudan in general.
 
Jur River County Commissioner Simon Athuai explained that the newly established court would compose of four members and the chief of the Payam.
 
He added that during the training, chiefs and members would be acquainted with all legal procedures to charge citizens justly.
 
The Deputy Governor is expected to visit all Payams of Jur River County this week.
