Pilgrims of Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Sunday concluded their three-day visit to the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio in Western Equatoria State.

The delegation head Fr Thomas Igga in his homily on Sunday at St Mary Yambio Parish, said the pilgrimage was to ask the late Bishop Joseph Gasi to intercede for the faithful to know God and repent from sins and convey peace message to people of Tombura-Yambio and South Sudan in general, Radio Anisa reported.

He thanked Tombura-Yambio Diocese Catholic Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala and the Western Equatoria State Government for cooperation and brotherly love shown to them in the diocese.

Fr Igga urged Christians of Tombura-Yambio and South Sudan to imitate the late Emeritus Bishop Gasi’s prayerfulness, patriotism hard work and love that South Sudanese and other nationals remember.

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala cited enthusiasm for the pilgrimage from Juba Archdiocese to his Diocese, terming it a happy moment.

He called for several pilgrims from all dioceses in South Sudan not only during unfortunate moments.

About 100 pilgrims from the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba last week paid their first visit to the shrine of the late Bishop Gasi and took off for home on Monday.
