Union President urges UNESCO, government to sustain students’ press clubs

South Sudan General Students’ Youth Union President appeals to UNESCO and Ministries of Education, Information and Youth to ensure Students’ Press Clubs prosper to benefit future generations.
 
Emmanuel Lubari reminds UNESCO and government to expand Students’ Press Clubs to states, form permanent system and address sustainability and funding to save the germinating body from death.
 
The Youth Union President challenges school dropouts and leavers aging from 18 to 35 to participate in a writing competition on press articles to regenerate talents and careers.
 
UNESCO South Sudan Representative Salah Khalid advises journalists to be responsible and ethical to avoid woe from governing authority.
 
He adds that UNESCO hopes to increase space for freedom of expression and the press in the country.
 
The Students’ Press Clubs are expected to boost education, culture, science, communication and information in South Sudan.
