Eastern Equatoria State police in Torit town has recovered two dead bodies of a female Prison Service Officer and a Police Officer who was based in Kapoeta County.
Torit Municipality Chief Inspector of Police Lieutenant Colonel Antony Ladu Tombe tells Radio Emmanuel that ‘one dead body was found near Labalua hill’.
He adds that the second dead body was found at Gumbo across Kineti River.
Lieutenant Colonel Tombe explains that the deceased official found near Labalua hill was shot by unknown gunmen near a new airfield in Torit.
The Police Inspector denies any knowledge why the deceased Kapoeta based Police Officer was only found dead in Torit.
Lieutenant Colonel Tombe tells Radio Emmanuel that investigations about the death of the government officials are on progress.
