Political parties call for mass uprising to avoid foreign intervention

18 South Sudan political parties referred to as National Alliance are mobilizing stakeholders to rise up to save the nation from foreign intervention.

In a statement on Thursday, the National Alliance says it is high time for serious and creative home grown solutions rather than narrow-minded interests holding South Sudan a hostage.

The Alliance argues that latest peace talk deadlock confirms the government and SPLM/A in Opposition’s failure to compromise for agreement, describing it as ‘shame’.

The political parties observe that without mass intervention, neighbouring countries can not be blamed for coming to extinguish burning fire in South Sudan.

The statement resolves that to avoid scenarios of foreign intervention or entrusting South Sudan to UN stewardship, the masses must pressure the warring parties to put the national interest above their personal interests.
