Juba City Council and Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA in collaboration with Japanese Engineering Contingent of United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS organize cleanup campaign at Juba Nabari road on March 14, 21 and 28.
JICA Officer Atong Demach said the campaign aims at cleaning the road and raise awareness among local residents not to throw waste on the road.
She explained that JICA is expecting about 30 participants from nearby communities and another 30 participants from Japanese Engineering Contingent of UNMISS.
Juba City Mayor Christopher Sarafino Wani Swaka, Japanese Ambassador to South Sudan Takeshi Akamatsu and JICA Chief Representative Mitsuaki Furukawa are expected to grace the event.
