About one hundred pilgrimages from the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba are expected to arrive in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese to pay their homage to the late Emeritus Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite who died on September 13, 2014.
St Mary Yambio Parish Priest Peter Moudie on Sunday during the English Service invited Christians to join the pilgrims in prayers and other spiritual activities, Radio Anisa reported.
He urged the faithful to receive their brothers and sisters and stay with them in God’s love.
Juba Catholic Archdiocese Auxiliary Bishop Santo Loku Pio is expected to lead the pilgrims to Yambio this week.
This is the first pilgrimage outside Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese after the death of the 94-year-old first native Bishop.
Many Christians acknowledged the late Bishop’s sanctified holistic activities inside and outside South Sudan.
