Juba City Council on Friday passed Traffic Lights Bill in Juba to regulate vehicles and pedestrians to reduce accidents.
Michael Lodu Alajabu told journalists that any violation or obstruction of traffic lights and damage perpetrators would be fined to pay seven thousand US Dollars and imprisoned for period of one year to resolve the damage.
Juba City Council Chief Executive Officer Anthony Loki said the law implies to all institution within Juba, directing organized forces to implement the act, calling on the public to abide by it.
The Executive Officer said law is needed to regulate movement of cars, motorcycles and pedestrians.
