South Sudan, Sudan agree to open oil fields’ borders

South Sudan and Sudan on Monday agreed to work hard for the opening of border allowing the movement of material and critical equipments to the oil fields from Sudan to South Sudan.
 
South Sudan Petroleum minister Stephen Dhieu told journalists in Juba after meeting his Sudanese counterpart Makawi Mohammed that they agreed that Sudan would allow South Sudan to obtain the oil data kept in Sudan.
 
Minister Dhieu said they discussed to revisit the way of payment of transfer fees and the extension of oil agreement to allow them reduce the rate paid to Sudan.
 
The Minister said the two Presidents Salva Kiir and Omer El Bashir are working hard to promote peace through building trust and relation by developing the economic.
 
He expressed determination to work for the promotion of the cooperation agreement to fully implement the oil agreement and other related matters.
