Agency trains community, police on security cooperation

Safer World, a non-governmental organization working in Lakes State is training police and security agents on their roles and how to cooperate with communities in addressing insecurity.
 
Officer Benjamin Majok Mon told Radio Good News on Wednesday that the training the aims at building working relationships to realize stability in Rumbek Central County.
 
He said Safer World initiated a police-community relations committee tasked with gathering security issues at grassroots and forward it to higher authorities for immediate response.
 
Mr Majok continued that the Police-Community relation aims at achieving peaceful co-existence in the community.
 
The public attribute failure to apprehend criminals to poor relationship between police and community.
