Union of Journalist of South Sudan or UJOSS is conducting review training for 20 journalists from Warrap, Northern and Western Bahr El Ghazal States in Wau.
UJOSS Chairperson Oliver Modi said journalists are targeted by those who do not like the truth, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He encouraged journalists to continue fighting against ignorance of the media role in South Sudan.
UJOSS Secretary-General Edward Lodu Terso said the training reminds journalists on how to seek information and report accurately in line with media ethics.
Western Bahr El Ghazal State Information Minister Mary Karlino appreciated the Union for organizing the training to enable media practitioner carry out their work effectively.
The training came nearly three weeks after five journalists were brutally killed among thirteen civilians on Raja Road.
The three-day workshop would enable journalists to share experiences and difficulties associated with their work in their respective states.
