Yei Catholic Diocese Bakhita Health Centre on Wednesday marked the twenty-third World Sick Day with patients calling for hope in God healing.
Diocesan Secretary-General Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit in his homily at Christ the King Cathedral, called on Christians to stop misunderstanding and build hope in the Sacrament of Holy Anointing, Radio Easter reported.
He urged Christians to socialize, visit and pray for the sick and avoid isolating them.
Saint Bakhita Health Centre Medical Doctor Sister Veronica remarked that Jesus is the first doctor, the light, way and the truth to life.
She urged medical professionals to put God first in serving the sick with love and mercy.
Diocesan Hospitals’ Chaplain Fr Daniel Wani Tomilyan told patients to pray for divine healing while taking human treatment.
