Transport Undersecretary on Tuesday vowed that there would be no more stand still paralysis of services at Juba International Airport after paying off two months’ allowances of striking employees.

Captain David Martin Hassan said the strike was equal to ‘nothing’ since it was a small administrative issue relating to allowances already resolved.

He added that services including flights in and out are in full swing at Juba International Airport.

The Undersecretary downplayed inconveniences caused due to striking airport staff, saying few of them laid down their tools and that early morning flights were normal.

Mr Martin told the masses that Juba International Airport is back to normal as flights and other services resume after about three hours’ stand still.

Juba International Airport Director Kun Kuol Ajieu told journalists that they held an extraordinary meeting chaired by Transport, Roads & Bridges Minister Kuong Danhier Gatluak where cooperation of workers was pledged.
