Tore Payam Community of Yei River County in Central Equatoria State warned that a looming famine in their area is imminent if pastoralists continue to graze cattle in farming areas.

National Member of Parliament Matthew Ismail Muktar representing Tore and Lasu Payams reported that cattle upon arrival destroyed some crops to the ground level, Radio Easter reported.

He expected more destructions leading to no harvest this year.

Yei River County Bidali Cosmas Wori-Kojo called for patience as the government continues to do its best to ensure the withdrawal of the cattle in the area.
