Eastern Equatoria State Minister of Youth and Sports on Friday while briefing the recently constituted interim Youth Union body, called for spirit of teamwork.

Patrick Lodinga Kotein congratulated the Union and expected the appointees to start setting foundation for their future progress, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He tasked the new body chaired by Martin Ukongo and Boniface Lochebe as Secretary-General to deliver services to people, calling on the members to cooperate and avoid differences in the institution.

The minister said lack of unity in the Youth Union creates serious frictions that can lead to poor relations and hinders performance.

He encouraged the new team to collaborate with his ministry, telling it to prepare for the national convention elections in few months time.

Mr Lodinga disclosed that the state would select 15 youth from Eastern Equatoria Counties to represent the state in the national convention.

The minister tasked the interim youth body to work hard to restore trust and harmonize relations among members of the institution.
