Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese HIV/AIDs Department in the beginning of the week conducted three-day workshop on education for life in Li-Rangu Parish.

HIV/AIDs Field Officer James Nunguruyo disclosed a plan to train people in all parishes on education for life to empower with knowledge on HIV/AIDS truth and reality, Radio Anisa reported.

He said they want to impart to people skills and facts in life to avoid re-infection, for HIV carriers to protect themselves, learn new things and know negative behaviors.

One of the participants Yoditha Joseph thanked Tombura-Yambio Diocese for the program, saying she learned a lot during the workshop, advising HIV positive to concentrate on medicine, avoid re-infection and too much drinking of alcohol.

She advised HIV negative people to go for test every time to know their status and avoid many partners.

Li-Rangu Parish Priest Fr Mathew Sangu described the workshop as very useful to Christians and despite the fact that many of them went fishing and hunting.

He encouraged the participants to put God ahead of everything they do and spread across the parish what they learnt.
