Children in Lower Kumo Model Primary School of Kumbur Payam in Heiban County on Friday complained that the cold weather made it difficult for them to concentrate in the classes.

Pupil Ngalu Osman told Radio Voice of Peace that they report to school late because there are no warm clothes to wear.

Another pupil Khamis Sebit said they do not get what teachers teach in the class and to handle a pen to write in the morning hours was very difficult.

Children say if coldness continues more than a week, learning would be bad because it is very difficult for them to wake up in the morning and go to school.

Lower Kumo Model Primary School head teacher Andrews Chabu said pupils report to schools at 8:00 and begin lessons at 8:30 AM.

He said before the cold weather they go to school at 7:00 and begin classes at 8:00 AM.

Kumo PTA chairman appealed to parents to build proper classes for children to prevent coldness during the learning hours.

Cold breeze stormed Nuba Mountains last week affecting people’s daily activities.
