One of the senior priests in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese ordained on January 7, 1990 on Wednesday celebrated his 25 years in priestly service.
Fr Marko Kumbonyaki Soro said his mother advised and influenced him to join priesthood with one heart, Radio Anisa reported.
He pledged to work according to the Catholic Doctrine and do the assignment the Bishop gives him with one heart and help the traumatized people.
Fr Kumbonyeki urged his fellow priests to be committed to the work of God and be polite.
He advised all Christians to work hard and consider God in everything they do, advising youth to value education and life.
Fr Kumbonyeki in his priestly life, served as Vicar General for three years, St Mary Yambio Parish Priest for two years, HIV Counsellor and Trauma Healing to LRA abductees and was the leader of Sudan Council of Churches.
From 1989 to 1992 he was appointed St Joseph’s Minor Seminary Rector and is now Director of Religious Affairs with Western Equatoria government.
Fr Marko mentioned many challenges he faced during his spiritual journey including financial problem during his studies and regular sicknesses in his seminary life.
