Police in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal purchased nine horses from Sudan for security operations in the state.
Police Commissioner Abraham Manyuat while receiving the horses at the State Secretariat on Wednesday said the animals would be used to cover night patrols in markets, residential areas and sports.
The Commissioner said the experienced police personnel would use the horses for night duties.
The Police chief said the horses took two weeks to reach the state and that they are expecting another group to arrive soon.
