A joint team from Australia and Juba are in Rumbek to conduct peace conferences to bring lasting harmony among communities of Rumbek and other counties.
Konybai Peace Initiative Chairman Matthew Mading Malok told Radio Good News on Saturday that he came with a ten-member delegation from Australia to join hands with Lakes State government and communities to bring peace to the Agaar community.
He urged Lakes State citizens to unite and make 2015 a year of peace.
A representative of Agaar Peace Initiative from Juba James Mabor appealed to youths to stop fighting and unite to bring peace, urging the State government to support their programme for successful dialogue.
The peace conferences expected to begin soon are projected to last for more than a month.
