Western Equatoria Governor in his New Year’s message on Wednesday in Yambio thanked God for completing 2014 with few challenges despite war in the country.
Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro wishes citizens of the state and South Sudan a happy New Year, Radio Anisa reported.
He apologized to the public in Western Equatoria and South Sudan in case the government did not satisfy their needs due to lack of resources, saying the government forgive people who wronged it in 2014.
Governor Bakasoro appealed to citizens to continue praying for peace in the young country, hoping that 2015 brings peace to South Sudan.
He called on South Sudanese to support government’s efforts on peace and reconciliation to stop the ongoing turmoil.
