A Pastor at Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday urged Christians to build peaceful coexistence in the society, calling on them to invite the Lord Jesus Christ in their hearts.

Reverend Elinama Jacob said people were in darkness and now they saw light because of Jesus who came into the world to save sinners, Radio Anisa reported.

He appealed to Christians to be exemplary in the society and advise their brothers and sisters to change bad behaviours and attitude to fully proclaim the Good News of Christ.

Pastor Jacob attributed South Sudanese return to war after independence to the fact that they forgot God, lamenting that people set their minds on things rather than being servants.

He urged the government to focus on developmental activities and maintain peace in the country.

The church administration thanked Yambio FM and Radio Anisa for the great work done during Christmas season by focusing on peace and preaching.
