Hundreds of Christians joined doctors and nurses at Wau Teaching Hospital on Christmas, praying for patients and medical practitioners in saving human lives.

Fr Arkangelo Peter, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration in his homily, encouraged the doctors and nurses to continue doing the work of God without discrimination, Radio Voice of Hope reported.

He said every human being was entrusted to serve the community, asking those idle to look and ensure that they offer something to the society.

Fr Peter mentioned that God’s service is a collective effort that needs respect of one another because all contribute to the common good of the community.

He said Jesus came to be a servant for all not for himself, advising medical practitioners to emulate his example.
