Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop on Sunday after blessing couples and confirming 286 people, described the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph as God’s gift and love to people of God.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala in his homily on Sunday at St Mary Tombura Parish emphasized that the families that received the Sacrament of Matrimony and those preparing for God’s blessings in the Church are of great values, Radio Anisa reported.
He advised Christians to give maximum respect to their families through hard work and daily prayers.
On the same occasion, two couples in Holy Family Yabua Catholic Parish received the Sacrament of Matrimony and two devotional groups of Legion Mary and Catholic Action renewed their commitments.
Fr Abraham Abayo, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration, urged the families to minimize drinking of alcohol which he described as the great enemy of the family.
