Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop prayed that the birth of Christ bring change to the people of South Sudan to abandon laziness and work hard.

Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala stressed that Christmas reminds believers to know God and His plans for the world through his only son Jesus Christ, Radio Anisa reported.

He urged everybody to double efforts and give enough time to work hard both at home and in offices, because God worked for good six days when he created the earth and all that are in it.

Bishop Hiiboro advised people to make good use of God’s gifts and produce wealth for themselves, adding that laziness is painful as it brings poverty, while hard work brings God’s blessings to people.

He encouraged people of Western Equatoria to praise God for peaceful second celebration of Christmas in the ongoing conflict.
