National Education Ministry Undersecretary on Tuesday said no candidates are sitting in Unity and Upper Nile State because education officials did not prepare them for South Sudan curriculum.

Michael Lopuke Lotyam said the two states were slow to implement the curriculum due to language barrier as majority of their teachers are from Arabic background.

He hopes that the two states would change and cope up with others eight states.

The Undersecretary disclosed a plan to open more English Language Teachers’ Institutes in 2015 to train primary educators for two years to provide quality education.

Mr Lopuke pledged that the ministry would continue witnessing education progress every year in South Sudan.
