Christian Ministry Director demands support for orphanage schools

Sudan for Christ Ministry Director on Monday called for government and partners’ support to orphanage schools and centres to boost their living conditions in the country.
 
Pastor Stanley reminded relevant government authorities to assess challenges, orphans face and strategize ways of making them progress in their lives, Radio Easter reported.
 
He added that orphans have wonderful performances in school if supported and that his orphanage school, Dreamland was rated the fourth in Yei River County Examinations.
 
Primary Seven Pupil Mary Amani who joined orphanage school in 2012 called on the government, partners and well wishers to empower girl-child education to minimise dropouts.
 
She lamented that they have limited support from Dreamland Administration offering them free education and care without other basic needs.
 
Yei River County Gender Child and Social Welfare Assistant Commissioner Victoria Nasera Augustine admitted that government only offers moral support to orphanage and street children centres without material support.
 
She appealed to parents to take care of their children to avoid abuses.
