South Sudan Law Society Legal Aid Attorney discouraged oppression of women, calling for an end to gender-based violence with equal treatment of women and men.

Speaking at the closure of a two-day training on land policy enactment and law implementation advocacy on Friday in Yei, Kotiang James said men should do true justice to women by doing what they want women to do for them, Radio Easter reported.

He called for sharing of work together and involvement of women in every decision making to boost balanced development at all levels.

Mr Kotiang noted that some men physically assault their women, confine them at home from public gatherings and prefer paying boys’ school fees more than girls.
