South Sudan Police draws Christmas security plan

Inspector General of Police said they set up a security plan, divided Juba into five zones and deployed joint forces commanded by high ranking officials for people to enjoy Christmas without fear.
 
General Pieng Deng Kuol in a statement CRN obtained on Friday said a Central Operational and Emergency Call Centres would work for 24 hours to share information with zone commanders for quick to all threats.
 
He said misbehaviour of any officer and other ranks would not be tolerated and that drunkenness in uniform would be considered a serious misconduct.
 
General Deng instructed that the use of force would be strictly according to provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedures and that any inappropriate shooting incidents would be investigated and perpetrators punished.
 
The Inspector General of Police revealed that they established emergency courts to deal with violations and contraventions.
 
He said they would work together with SPLA, National Security, Prison, Wildlife and Fire Brigade to ensure peace and security during the Christmas and the New Year festivals.
 
He directed the Deputy Inspector General Andrew Kuol to oversee the plan while Central Equatoria State Police Commissioner Major General Henry Danima, SPLA and other organized forces senior representative command the joint operation.
