Ibba County authorities of Western Equatoria agreed to support Moruko Payam youth through the provision of machinery including chainsaw and its operator as soon as possible.
In a statement CRN obtained on Tuesday, Moruko Payam Development Committee Secretary Saverio Vurumo Francis told the government and World Bank mission on a field trip to the project site that the area was cut off from the County Headquarters from services since 1972.
He added that the Payam lacks school, health center and church because of its inaccessibility and that the only path that linked it to the main road is covered up by the thick tropical forest.
Mr Francis said the Local Governance and Service Delivery Project is the flagship project to deliver services to the rural poor and strengthen the capacity of county authorities.
Moruko community members selected road project in order to connect them with the Ibba County headquarters.
