Bank Governor tells Financial Institutions to adopt co-banking businesses

Central Bank Governor directed all Commercial Banks and foreign exchange bureaus in Western Bahr El Ghazal to adopt co-banking businesses system.
 
Kornelio Koryom Mayiik said banks have to give loans to prominent clients to pay back with interest, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
He cautioned bankers against trading on Dollars exchange, saying that loan system can help elevate the economic status of local citizens and boost development.
 
The Governor assured that the central bank has no option of giving Dollars to any commercial banks but will only support them in their operation as a regulator.
 
Mr Koryom further pointed that the central bank will do all that it could to create favourable environment for all local and foreign banks operating in the country to deliver financial services.
 
He mentioned that through the loan system the country can be able to strike the balance between demand and supply while maximizing on export.
