Yei Municipal Mayor on Saturday launched town cleanness campaign at the Freedom Square.
Santo Paul Lasuba told chiefs, scouts, government officials and citizens that the campaign would expand to residential areas, saying cleanness is a collective responsibility, Radio Easter reported.
He cautioned residents to desist from spreading garbage in the town, telling them to dispose garbage in sacks for easy collection.
Mr Paul warned that they would take serious inspection and charge violators.
The Mayor advised citizens to construct latrines, garbage pit and bath rooms to avoid diseases outbreak.
