The rate of Malaria spread is recorded increasing in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.

The County Disease Surveillance Officer Michael Lugala told Radio Easter that over one thousand patients were registered and that three children died within this week.

He attributed the increase to dirty surroundings and limited access to mosquito nets.

Mr Lugala appealed to the public to keep their surroundings clean, calling on health partners and the ministry to assist residents with mosquito nets to mitigate future escalation.
