Yei Girls’ School emerged the first winner, scoring 172 points out of 12 schools which participated in mini marathon on Saturday in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.
The County Culture Youth and Sports Assistant Commissioner Kujo Bennett made the announcement, commending Sudan for Christ Ministry for relieving parents by offering sponsorship for mini-marathon winners, Easter Radio reported.
He encourages participants including winners and losers never to relax to win 2015 mini-marathon.
20 students including ten boys and ten girls won one year sponsorship by Sudan for Christ Ministry.
Sudan for Christ Ministry Pastor Stanley Lo-Nathan says the marathon focuses on spiritual linking of students to encourage school fees payment and identify students’ talents.
St Paul and Immanuel Model scored zero points, becoming number 11 in the race.
