Trade Mark East Africa is giving South Sudan 11.7 million US Dollars for the National Bureau of Standards to increase efficiency of its customs and standards’ institutions.

In a statement CRN obtained on Tuesday, the support is in response to South Sudan’s demand to establish effective state institutions as a basis for economic development and poverty reduction.

The money is expected to boost regulations governing revenue collection and goods standards.

Trade Mark East Africa Chief Executive Officer Frank Matsaert, national Finance Minister Aggrey Tisa Sabuni and UK Deputy Ambassador to South Sudan Elizabeth Carrere are expected to grace the inaugural unveiling of National Oversight Committee on Thursday in Juba.
