The Police Inspector in Rumbek said the presence of different organized forces from different states reduced insecurity in Lakes State.
Colonel Isaac Mayuom Gop told Good News Radio on Wednesday that people of Lakes State are sensing peace because of the presence huge police and army in Lakes.
He said the situation in Rumbek Town came to normal and people once again started to enjoy life without fear.
Colonel Mayuom urged the entire public of Lakes State to fully cooperate with the organized forces and willingly surrender their arms to the government.
He warned that those disobeying disarmament orders would face the consequences.
The Inspector denied the allegations that police during the disarmament took mobile telephones from civilians, saying such cases were not reported to his office.
Interior Minister Aleu Ayieny Aleu and Lakes Governor Matur Chut Dhuol are overseeing the counties talking to their people to surrender guns to the government to realize peace in the state.
