St Bakhita School Sister of Sacred Heart Parish Tonj said 75 children are ready to receive Baptism and the first Holy Communion on November 23.
Sister Jane Kenyajoi said the children were brought to the church for anointment before Baptism to show their readiness to follow Jesus Christ and proclaim Good News of peace, love and unity to one another, Don Bosco Radio reported.
She advised parents and guardians to support their children in the school and church to bring harmony and love of God to the family.
Parish Priest Fr John Peter while presiding over Eucharistic celebration on Sunday anointed the 75 children together with a young boy who turned from Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS to Catholic faith.
He added that last month six children Church from the same denomination also joint Catholic.
Fr Peter stated that the 75 children became true Christians to accomplish their journey of life and share Good News with their brothers and sisters.
He appreciated St Bakhita School Sister and teachers for preparing children for Baptism and Holy Communion to spread the message of God to other young people.
The Parish priest called on youths of Tonj to join teaching children’s word of God in the church, advised Christians to pray for love, unity and peace countrywide.
