Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC Secretary General visited Diocese of Rumbek ahead of the plenary scheduled for November 4 2014.
Fr Jacob Odwa Paul explained that the SCBC plenary meeting in January chose Rumbek to host of the Bishops Conference, Good News Radio reported.
He said they that they invited Lakes State Governor Matur Chut Dhuol who assured them of security during the plenary.
Fr Odwa expressed confidence that the meeting will still go on despite the absence of a Bishop in Rumbek.
He said Rumbek was moving on under the guidance of the Diocesan Coordinator Fr John Mathiang.
The Secretary General is expected to return to Juba this week after confirming the venue the Bishops conference to kick off from November 4 to 14.
