Interior Minister visited Tonj South County in Warrap State on Wednesday calling on Tonj communities to stop growing killing there and work for peace, unity and reconciliation for national development.
Aleu Ayieny Aleu said President Salva Kiir Mayardit two months ago visited Gok in Rumbek and ordered stoppage of killing, road blocks and cattle raiding among Agar and other communities, but the situation remains the same, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He added that his visit to Tonj South was to make peace and reconciliation between Tonj South and Tonj East communities.
Warrap State Deputy Governor Akec Tong Aleu urges Tonj communities to stop inter-tribal and border conflicts to reconcile and live in harmony.
He condemns killing of children, youths, women and elders during a recent inter-tribal conflict, urging citizens to stop attacking one another.
