UNMISS launches sexual exploitation campaign in Torit

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS launched a campaign against sexual exploitation at Dr John Garang Memorial Secondary School in Torit, Eastern Equatoria State.
 
UNMISS Goodwill Ambassador Betty Tony said the campaign was to mobilize people to know negative impacts of sexual exploitation of under age boys and girls.
 
She advised students and teachers to talk against sexual exploitation, urging learners to report to concerned authorities the abuses.
 
The UNMISS Goodwill Ambassador who works with another famous musician, Emmanuel Lasu, attributed sexual exploitation in South Sudan to ignorance, war, forced marriages and poverty.
 
She acknowledged the importance of human body, advising students to shun exchange for commodities.
 
The campaign against sexual exploitation at Dr John Garang Memorial Secondary School in Torit attracted hundreds of students and teachers.
