Civil society welcomes adjournment of peace talks

Civil Society organizations representative to the peace talks in Ethiopia welcomed the adjournment of negotiations to mid October for consultation purpose.
 
David De Dau expressed concern that the forces of SPLM/A in opposition led by Dr Riek Machar Teny and Peter Gadet were divided.
 
Mr De Dau explained that there is a power struggle within the opposition, citing example of Taban Deng Gai not in agreement with Angelina Teny
 
He added that there is a serious military confrontation within the opposition for high ranks.
 
The civil society representative called on the warring parties to include the other side to the peace process including General Gadet who took arms against the government before the mid December crisis.
 
He urged South Sudanese to work together to silence guns and concentrate on development.
