Mundri West County Commissioner in Western Equatoria reported that calm returned to the area after four days displacement of communities.

Lexon Mobruk mentioned that cattle keepers entered somebody’s farm on Sunday and that two gunshots were heard on Monday night, causing panic and displacement of Muru Kodo communities, Anisa Radio reported.

He confirmed that security situation is back to normal following his tour on Wednesday encouraging people to return home and continue with their usual businesses.

Mr Mobruku said one girl from the cattle camp was wounded with arrow and rushed to Lui Hospital, adding that she is responding well to the treatment.

The Commissioner continued that some organized forces were sent to pursue the cattle keepers.

He called on the national government to address the issue of cattle keepers because they are becoming so notorious to Mundri West County.
