Hundreds of Catholic Christians from various institutions including Torit Day, Bishop Akio Memorial Secondary Schools and primary schools turned up to commemorate the St Theresa feast with special dedication to children.

Torit Catholic Diocesan Secretary Fr Joseph Logura said St Theresa decided to go to convent as a missionary at the age of 15 years despite health challenges of tuberculosis she contracted at childhood.

He added that the mission of St Theresa in the service of God motivates Christians to know Christ better.

Fr Logura explained that the feast of St Theresa has an impact on children who are reminded of Christ calling for humanity to God’s kingdom of love.

He reiterated that God loves His people especially the children like St Theresa.
The Diocesan Secretary urges Christians to emulate St Theresa’s humility and forgiving character to see the kingdom of God
