Hundreds of Eastern Equatoria State citizens on Tuesday turned up for one day conference resolving to utilise natural resources to boost the state economy.
The conference attracted participants from all eight counties of the state formulated 14 resolutions and recommendations on use of natural resources, Emmanuel Radio reported.
Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore opened the conference with calls for concrete resolution to satisfy dire communities’ needs in the state.
He pointed out the need for the current government to leave good legacy for positive change for future generations.
Governor Lobong decried poor infrastructure and insecurity as scaring away factors to investors depriving citizens of benefiting from natural resources.
He lamented that Equatoria remains under developed due to lack of abundant resources exploitation.
