South Sudan and Kenya met to prevent border conflict between Toposa and Turkana communities ahead of dry season when pastoralists start searching for enough water and pasture.
Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore said the meeting followed ministerial resolution between the two countries in Nairobi in 2013, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He added that the ministerial resolution recommended regular meetings between Toposa and Turkana leaders to strengthen relationship between the two communities.
Governor Lobong said they discussed attacks and robberies between Lokichogio and Nadapal border areas where several South Sudanese fell victims.
He said a Toposa businessman died in a recent attack along the borders and that one car was ambushed and robbed a week ago by six men.
One of the victims Ahari Paul Severino said the attackers robbed their money and phones.
