Finance, Economic Planning Minister warns that the only path to South Sudan sustainable economic development is comprehensive peace agreement and stability.

Aggrey Tisa Sabuni says several dynamic policies are needed to complement the search and attainment of peace for the country to make a decisive break from current fragility.

He added that private sector development policies creating jobs are crucial in decreasing the likelihood of conflict by keeping youths busy to save them from being misused.

The Finance Minister observes that there is huge need for creation of many new jobs for South Sudan emerging from decades of conflict.

He estimated up to 250 thousand South Sudanese searching jobs in the labour market every year.

Minister Tisa asserted that such work force could be productive and stable in employment as useful citizens, but in absence of jobs they become tools in the hands of devil.

World Bank Senior Economist Sheikh Ahmed Diop says team up working with the private sector, civil society and development partners is a good indication for potential fulfilment.

The officials made the points in a two day workshop on Diagnostic Trade Integrated Study organized by the national government under the sponsorship of United Nations Development Program or UNDP.
