Two lodges face closure over immorality in Torit

Torit Mayor in Eastern Equatoria threatened to close down two lodges in the town due to prostitution and other immoral practices.
 
Martin Odeki Ohuro warned owners of the two lodges to stop using their places for commercial sex or close down, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
Mayor Odeki revealed that he deployed a team of investigators to verify the findings, vowing to rid Torit of immoral practices.
 
He stated that South Sudan nationals involved in commercial sex would face imprisonment while foreigners would be deported.
 
The Mayor cautioned citizens of the existence of several sexual transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS that killed several people in the state and the country at large.
 
He noted that other venereal diseases also threatened the population of South Sudan.
 
Mayor Odeki discovered the lodges that practice prostitution during his a recent tour of Torit town.
