Western Bahr El Ghazal Deputy Governor warned state intellectuals and political party’s members against having link to SPLM in opposition.
Briefing cabinet, SPLM caucus and MPs on Wednesday on the current political and security situation, Zachariah Joseph Garang said political and security issues are interrelated and the government formed a committees to enlighten citizens, Voice of Hope reported.
He explained the committees’ through public rallies would sensitize citizens on dangers associate with rebellion, warning against illegal recruitment of youth.
Mr Joseph revealed that a separate committee was tasked by Juba to follow recruitment of opposition forces in Western Bahr El Ghazal, adding that the state government also managed to get a list of all recruits.
He said majority of the opposition recruits were found in Wau and Jur River Counties with few in Raja County and that the third group withdrew.
The Deputy Governor revealed that six were arrested last month due to their direct communication with the opposition forces through mobile phone calls and SMS messages.
