Donors contributed about 1.2 billion US Dollars for humanitarian assistance including over 980 million Dollars for projects in South Sudan Crisis Response Plan.
In a statement CRN obtained, the United Nations or UN maintain an online system called Financial Tracking Service to enhance transparency of the flow of resources for humanitarian action in the country and other emergencies around the world.
The statement added that the public system tracks donations to specify which and how much resources non-governmental organizations and UN agencies receive for what purpose.
UN Humanitarian Coordinator for South Sudan Toby Lanzer said the Financial Tracking Service is one of the tools UN uses to ensure that aid operation is transparent and accountable to beneficiaries.
